我看到我”真的”想要的女孩 ,

我开始冒汗,呼吸加速,我的身体开始预备好逃跑,

就好像当原始人遇见剑齿虎时那样,我启动了开关。

然而大脑在这时候并没得到帮助,

而且我谈论的是女人而不是剑齿虎。

所以,当这种情形发生,我使用一个小技巧来略过这些没帮助的焦虑。
我将事情分成很多细小的步骤。

我并不去想「我要上去打开这个两个女人的组合」(焦虑)

我这么对自己说:

踏出我的左脚。  

往前正常的走去  

对团体说「嘿!」

时间限制「我马上要回我朋友哪了,不过…」

现在我踏过了不归点。

在社交上来说,如果直接走掉,反而比较像神经病。所以我说了一些开场白

然后只要我停留在这个步骤,而且不要跳过。

这个技巧骗过了我的焦虑,并且让我不会因焦虑停止接近。

这个系统可以在任何你感到焦虑的时刻使用。

例如型男的演化瞬移就是用这个技巧打破接吻焦虑。

I'll share one more piece of advice that you might find helpful below.  
Also, if you live in (or close to) LA, there's a tip at the end of the email.

A Guide to Microstepping

I spot the girl I REALLY wanted. I sweat. I breath faster. My
body prepared itself to FLEE.

It activates the same triggers as the body of a caveman who
spotted a saber tooth tiger.

The sweat to cool itself down. The heavy breathing to take in
extra air for the muscles to run.

But my brain isn't being helpful here. This is a woman we are
talking about not a toothy tiger!

So when this situation arises I use a little trick to bypass
this unhelpful anxiety. I break things down into tiny little
steps.

Instead of thinking "I am going to open that group of 2 hot
girls." [Cue: Anxiety] I literally think to myself:

* Put my left foot in front of my right foot.

* Walk in that general direction.

* Say the word "Hey!" to the group.

* Time constraint "I gotta get back to my friends in a
second, but..."

Now I'm past the point of no return, it would be socially
crazy to walk away, so SOME opener comes out of my mouth.

So long as I stay on the current step and don't skip ahead.
This TRICKS my anxiety and prevents it from stopping the
approach.
The system can be used ANY time you experience anxiety. For
example Style's Evolution Phase shift uses the trick to
bypass kiss anxiety.   [Ghost's note - it can also be used in other areas.
Try committing to flossing just one tooth tonight, and see what happens]
